Kenneth Edward Long, beloved son of Preston and Julia Long,
longed for what he called "freedom" for many years because he was in pain. Pain in his heart...the
kind of pain that Depression smothers a person in. He suffered many long years with this pain and
tried to cope in every way he knew how. But in the end, his "medicine of choice" was Death. Ken
took his own life on his 37th birthday, December 10, 2001.
